Picked up the new Bounce Foundation by Beauty Blender. It claims to be:
A matte that still looks like skin
A weightless, full-coverage foundation in 32 shades that easily blends for a flawless finish and a revolutionary bare-skin feel. The whipped liquid glides and bounces easily so it never looks cakey or fake- no matter how little or how much you layer on. Never chalky or lifeless, the velveteen matte finish has a multidimensional effect, like naturally gorgeous, healthy skin. The lightweight, buildable formula addresses not just tone but also skin texture so your complexion looks smooth and even. Skin looks picture perfect- IRL and on-screen for up to 24 hours. 90% of testers in a consumer study agreed that they would replace their current foundation with Bounce.
I wore the foundation for about 7 hours today. Here is my opinion …
Pros-
- It definitely is a full coverage foundation. It covered areas I needed more coverage in and looked amazing.
- It is weightless. It didn’t feel like most full coverage foundations feel.
- Buildable formula. Didn’t look cakey when adding an extra layer for insurance.
Cons:
- Did not last the 7 hours I wore it for. (I do have oily skin- but I baked the crap out of my face.) It is also not a true matte. Definitely more of a Demi matte.
- Oxidation happened. Had the perfect match and it ended up turning more of an orange shade (I got 3.25 N)
- Packaging is rough. The spout makes for a potential mess.
Overall thoughts- I am just not impressed. It is not a foundation I would repurchase or a staple in my kit. There are many more foundations with better packaging and an actual matte that I would purchase above this one.
